Про ванны, туалеты и туалетные принадлежности у меня уже было много постов, сейчас- отдельно про умывальники.Они существовали наряду с кувшинами, были они металлические, фарфоровые и фаянсовые, подвесные и напольные.
Все зависело от возможностей конкретного человека- были они и совсем простые, и роскошные: из мрамора и бронзы, расписного фарфора.
Сосуды-рукомойники для церковных служб необычайно искусной работы делались с 13-14 века:
Кентавр-карлик и св.Геогий с драконом- 14-15 век.
